Social Benefits:
- Plantation employees are provided at no cost, detached housing units with individual plots of land – creating safer and more sustainable living conditions for the families.
- Employee-managed welfare shops, located near the plantations, provide an outlet for plantation employees to sell self-crafted artisanal items. 100% of the profits go directly to the employees-providing an additional source of income.
- All employees are assigned with periodic medical checks, with specialized medical consultants. Management teams also follow up on the prescriptions issued during these consults, ensuring they are fulfilled.
- Comprehensive life-skill training happens regularly for our employees across all our operations, on various disciplines such as English language, vocational training, and soft skill training.
- Child development centres located within our plantations, provide day care and schooling for children of employees. Catered at no costs, the initiative offers children education up to the primary level, at which they join the public-school network. Benefits of this scheme are two-fold, as they offer families the option of having both parents working.
- In addition to housing, we have also successfully completed water supply programs that have provided clean and safe water for our plantation employees and their homes.
